Critique Group Hashtag on Facebook
SLWG has a new way of finding a writing partner.
The SLWG is officially announcing the closure of the Critique Group Forum. The resource this portal was meant to provide – that of connecting writers with potential writing partners or critique groups – will now be facilitated through the official St Louis Writers Guild Facebook group.
Those hoping to connect with critique group members should make a post about their interest on the main facebook page with the tag #critique groups. The tag will collect these posts for easy reference. Users can access the tag in the top right of the facebook group, directly beneath the guild banner when accessed by a computer browser. The tag is still new, so there aren’t a lot of posts.
Pop over and add your interest to the ring today! You never know who might be looking.

PIF Fund
After careful consideration, the Board of St. Louis Writers Guild determined to set aside donated funds for a special program to benefit writers in need. Because this program is due to the generosity of our presenters and other donors - in essence, they are choosing to pay it forward to help others - we have named this the SLWG Pay It Forward (PIF) fund.
We don't want our fees to stand in the way of talented individuals becoming involved in the SLWG and its workshops and other educational events. We have a limited amount of PIF funds available to waive fees for those individuals suffering financial hardship. More information can be found by clicking the button below. Since SLWG fees are used to provide services for all members, we ask that you carefully and honestly assess your ability to pay the fee and request a waiver only when necessary.
